Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we leave first thing Friday morning, we had to get our packing done today. It was quite an undertaking! Maria started packing right after she woke up about 9:30am... she packed up the boys’ bags and her own luggage and got tired about 1:00pm. Then Andrew came in and packed his own luggage and all was done about 2:30pm, just in time for the boys to go nap. But at least it was now all done and only a couple last minute items need to go into the luggage on Friday :)
Tim, Heather and Madison came over to visit while we packed. The boys were entertained by them for the majority of the time that Maria was packing. They had fun playing with Maddie, too. They played on Uncle Tim’s Nintendo Wii that he brought over.
When the boys went down for a nap, Maria stayed up to get her fix of Doctor Phil on TV. Steph came by to pick up Pat, but decided to stick around for a while while she napped and everyone played Pinochle. Maria fell asleep on the couch watching the Phil, and didn’t wake up until after the boys got up from naps :)
In the evening, Tim, Heather, Steph, Madison, Uncle Howie and Vavo went out to dinner at Las Fajitas. We stayed home with Vavu and wound down. We watched the end of Superman the movie, ate a quick bite, and then watched Shrek 2. The boys went to bed, and then Andrew convinced Uncle Howie to join him in a game of Wii Golf, while Maria finished more of her reading.
All in all, it was an uneventful day, but at least now we will be ready to go on Friday to get to the airport (our flight leaves at noon). It’s so amazing that in less than 2 days, we’ll be in Disneyworld!
------------------------------------------
The best part of day 10 was the relief of finishing packing (for Maria) and playing the 6-man pinochle game (for Drew).
The worst part of day 10 was all that packing took a loooooooong time.... we had to soak in the jet-tub that Vavo and Vavu have in order for our backs to feel better!
What we learned on day 10 was 6-man pinochle is really way hard to do and sucks much more than 4-man pinochle; make sure you don’t have too many winter clothes packed when visiting both Arkansas and Orlando, lest you don’t have enough cooler clothes for the 80 degree temps in Orlando; not all car companies rent minivans with built-in car seats; Walmart is surprisingly open on Thanksgiving Day; Jet-tubs are niiiice.
The weather on day 10 was overcast, cold (lows in the 20s!), showers (almost snow!)

I didn't go out to eat with them. I went home to cook deviled eggs and make pies. Fortunately, Tim and Heather brought some dinner home. UNFORTUNATELY, Tim brought fajitas instead of enchiladas so Steph didn't eat any. Thanks anyway, Tim. And 6-man pinochle IS hard. 5-man is much more fun and regular pinochle is the only game that requires skill apparently. :)
Hey, you referenced Maddie as "Pat" once, but didn't say who "Pat" was, or why you call her Pat. haha.
