Day 2 was a bit of a lazy day. We all got up and had eggs and Longanisa in the morning. Maria fell back asleep after breakfast. We got to see the patio table that we sent the tiles to Steph for as an anniversary present for Vavo and Vavu. It looked really cool all put together!Steph came over after work to say hi. She hung out for a bit, and came back later in the day with David and Madison after Dave got off work. It was nice to see Maddie interact with the boys. They were finally all able to play together. They played a duck game that Aunt Diana left for them to use. Uncle Howie replaced the batteries, and once that happened, “QUACK” was all we heard for the rest of the night.
During naps, Vavo, Vavu, Uncle Howie and Drew played Pinochle. They were constantly interrupted by houseflies. There are so many flies here! It doesn’t help living across the street from a cow pasture. There is always one fly hanging around. It seems like killing the one same fly over and over. Maria read DisneyWorld on a Dime, and started the 2008 Unofficial Guide, and Mom won Pinochle with Andrew.
We all had lasagne for dinner together with the Summits. It was homemade lasagna that Vavu made ahead of time for his dear son. It was SOOOO good (can’t wait for leftovers)! Jeremy and Aiden discovered the toys in depth that evening. They played with the blocks, AquaDoodle, inflated ball, and squeeze lizard donated by Madison for their stay. They also love the big open design of the living/dining area. They were throwing themselves around on the carpet and rolling on the floor. After the Summits left that evening and the boys went to bed, we played Scattergories. Vavu won both times. He was very creative!

The best part of day 2 was lasagne.
The worst part of day 2 was being tired and houseflies.
What we learned on day 2 was you can kill the same housefly over and over and it doesn’t die. Dad stretches the meaning of a “creative” Scattergory response.
The weather on day 2 was overcast.
